Back in the Saddle

Our little Katie girl had ear tubes put in Friday morning, which will hopefully put an end to all the infections. The procedure itself was quick and easy, the longest part was the 90 minutes we were there before it began. Kate passed the time playing peek-a-boo with the curtain in our waiting room. She was happy as long as no nurses or doctors came into the room...that is until she got her pre-surgery medication. The nurse called it "better living through chemistry." Her room was easy to find in the recovery lounge, we just followed the screams and the flustered nurses. We were told ahead of time that some kids come out of anesthesia docile, and others a bit more disagreeable. Kate went with the latter. The adorable hospital gown almost made it all worth it.

By the next morning, she was raring to go. So many toys, so little time.
